Still The Best Policy

Been fascinated by Western astrology lately

The half man & half horse

Sagittarians do not believe in deceit & pretension, at least that's what they say. After playing my trade in the fitness industry as well as the working world for almost two months now, I noticed that M'sia has still a long way to go when it comes to earning a profit through honest means.

As a fitness professional, I am to uphold one of the personal trainers code of ethics (according to ACE), which is responsibility to the public. This consists of being truthful & honest when you are talking to your clients. I don't intend of being Mr. Know It All by claiming that I can play both the role of nutritionist, physiotherapist & doctor at the same time just to convince potential clients to train under me!

I really hate it when people tell me that it's okay to 'twist' the truth as long you can close the deal or secure a few sales, "This is M'sia mah, you don't have to be so professional one!" But I am not a typical M'sian mah, for I am a principled man mah. And one of my principles is to be accountable towards my clients mah!

On another note, this was the last meal my Filipino servant prepared for me;

Apple & scramble egg, somehow it's hard to hold back my tears

Not to say I had a close relationship with her, it's just that she had served me wholeheartedly without any complaints throughout these past two years. She could have stayed on longer, if only mum could show a little bit of appreciation towards her rather than shouting at her all the time.

Gave this to her as a memento

Whether if it's a maid, janitor or hard labourer, everyone has their own harga diri. I don't agree that just because one is willing to serve others, doesn't give them the right to take advantage of his/her dignity. I know how it feels like to be shitted upon during my time as a volunteer usher. That is why I gave away one of my medals, so that my servant understood that no deeds should go unrewarded.

The next time someone puts your interest ahead of theirs, at least have the courtesy to say thank you alright?
